Getting Started
Immersion Rentals makes every effort to fully charge the AVP battery pack before sending it to its customers; however, in some instances, the AVP battery pack may not be fully charged right out of the box and the user may need to charge the battery pack before the first use.
Step by Step Basic Start Instructions:
The AVP Quick Start Guide includes step by step instructions on how to set up and charge the device.
Please refer to the AVP Quick Start Guide for more detailed instructions and helpful diagrams and photos. Below is a very brief synopsis of the start up process:
-
To function, the AVP battery pack cord must be attached to the AVP at all times. To attach, insert the metal disc at the end of the battery pack cord to the matching metal circle connection on the AVP. Align the small circle on end of the battery pack cord to the empty circle on headset connection and turn clockwise until it aligns with the closed circle. This should provide power to the AVP and turn it on.
-
Put on the AVP. You can customize the fit using the small adjustment disc on the right side of the AVP headband.
-
Once the AVP is on, you will likely be prompted to adjust the display using the Digital Crown button on the top right of the AVP. The AVP will walk you through several steps that align the AVP with your specific eye and face shape.
-
Once your fit has been set, bring your iphone or ipad near the AVP. Once your chosen apple device is detected by the AVP, it will automatically walk you through the quick setup process. Make sure to have your Apple ID and login information available before you start using the AVP. While the AVP can automatically link with most Apple devices and thus obtain your Apple account information by linking to your Apple device, you will need your Apple ID password to perform the hard reset of the AVP prior to returning it to Immersion Rentals. Additionally, if you wish to backup any data from the AVP to your Apple iCloud, you will need your Apple ID and password to do so.
Resetting the AVP Prior to Return
When you are ready to return the AVP, you will need to perform a full factory reset of the AVP to ensure that none of your personal data remains on the device.
To fully reset for return:
Settings > General > Transfer or Reset this Apple Vision Pro > Erase all contents and settings >
Enter apple id password if you desire to backup your AVP data to your Apple iCloud
*Note: ensure you are connected to wifi network, do not erase device from iCloud via phone.
After performing the full reset, carefully package it back in the case it came in, making sure to match the battery charger, battery pack and AVP to the pre-cut slots in the foam insert.
