Getting Started

Immersion Rentals makes every effort to fully charge the AVP battery pack before sending it to its customers; however, in some instances, the AVP battery pack may not be fully charged right out of the box and the user may need to charge the battery pack before the first use.

Step by Step Basic Start Instructions:

The AVP Quick Start Guide includes step by step instructions on how to set up and charge the device.

Please refer to the AVP Quick Start Guide for more detailed instructions and helpful diagrams and photos. Below is a very brief synopsis of the start up process:

  1. Plug It In: To function, the AVP battery pack cord must be attached to the AVP at all times. To attach, insert the metal disc at the end of the battery pack cord to the matching metal circle connection on the AVP. Align the small circle on end of the battery pack cord to the empty circle on headset connection and turn clockwise until it aligns with the closed circle. This should provide power to the AVP and turn it on.
  2. Put It On: Put on the AVP. You can customize the fit using the small adjustment disc on the right side of the AVP headband.
  3. Hands and Eyes Setup: Once the AVP is on, press the Left Button 4 times in a row to calibrate the AVP for your hands and eyes. The AVP will walk you through several steps that align the AVP with your specific eye and face shape. If you need more please click here for full instructions from Apple.
  4. Connect To WiFi: From the home screen in AVP, navigate to Settings, find your Wifi network, and get connected.
  5. Sign Into the App Store: The AVP is signed into an Immersion Rentals account for security reasons but is not signed into the App Store. From the home screen select the App Store Icon and sign in using your Apple ID. Once you sign in, you will have access to all your purchased subscriptions and Apps, which you can download and use (if compatible with the AVP) – for example, Apple TV, Apple Music, etc.

Resetting the AVP Prior to Return

If Immersion Rentals authorized you signing into your own Apple iCloud account, when you are ready to return the AVP, you will need to perform a full factory reset of the AVP to ensure that the device is usable by Immersion Rentals (you will need your Apple ID password to sign out).

IMPORTANT: failure to perform the full factory reset of the AVP may make the AVP unusable for future customers and Company. Should a returned unit be rendered unusable for any reason relating to Customer’s use, including, but not limited to a failure to log out of an Apple account or failure to perform the required factory reset, Customer authorizes Company to charge the full replacement cost of the AVP to Customer’s credit card on file (“Replacement Cost”) and return the unusable AVP to Customer. Customer understands and agrees that the payment of the Replacement Cost in exchange for the damaged AVP is a reasonable and fair payment of the estimated damages that Company will incur in the event a Customer returns an AVP in an unusable condition.

To fully reset for return:

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset this Apple Vision Pro > Erase all contents and settings >

Enter apple id password if you desire to backup your AVP data to your Apple iCloud

*Note: ensure you are connected to wifi network, do not erase device from iCloud via phone.

After performing the full reset, carefully package it back in the case it came in, making sure to match the battery charger, battery pack and AVP to the pre-cut slots in the foam insert.
